FAQ

Q: Which Duramax engines are covered by this collection?

A: The products currently listed cover 2004–2010 6.6L LLY, LBZ, and LMM engines; 2011–2016 6.6L LML engines; and 2017–2024 6.6L L5P engines. Other Duramax platforms are not represented in this collection.

Q: Will a Duramax PCV reroute kit fit every 6.6L Duramax?

A: No. The routing and components differ by engine generation. Match your model year and engine code to the fitment table before selecting a kit.

Q: Does the L5P CCV reroute kit fit Cab & Chassis trucks?

A: No. The listed 2017–2024 L5P kit excludes Cab & Chassis 3500, 4500, and 5500 models.

Q: What is the difference between a CCV reroute and a catch can?

A: A reroute changes where crankcase vapors travel. A catch-can system is designed to collect suspended oil from those vapors and normally requires periodic servicing. Confirm the design and included components on the individual product page rather than assuming the terms are interchangeable.

Q: Will a Duramax PCV reroute kit fix excessive blow-by?

A: It can redirect normal crankcase vapors, but it cannot correct worn piston rings, damaged cylinders, or another mechanical cause of excessive pressure. Diagnose severe blow-by before modifying the ventilation path.

Q: Can these kits be used on a street-driven truck?

A: These products are sold for off-road or racing use. Modifying emissions-related equipment on a vehicle used on public roads may be prohibited. Check federal, state, and local requirements before purchase or installation.

Disclaimer SPETUNER’s delete kits are intended for off-road or racing use only. They may not be street-legal in all areas, so please verify local laws before installation. Professional installation is strongly recommended to ensure the best results.
