FAQ

Q: What years does this 6.7 Cummins CCV delete kit fit?

A: The dedicated kit is listed for 2007.5–2024 RAM 2500 and RAM 3500 trucks equipped with the 6.7L Cummins diesel engine. It is not listed for 5.9L Cummins or non-RAM applications.

Q: Will a CCV reroute stop oil from reaching the turbo inlet?

A: It redirects the factory CCV outlet away from the intake, removing that route as a source of oil mist. It will not prevent oil from entering the intake through a failed turbo seal or another mechanical problem.

Q: Is some oil vapor from the breather normal?

A: A reroute still has to release crankcase vapor. The amount of visible vapor or residue depends on engine condition, blow-by and routing. Heavy vapor or rapid oil accumulation should be diagnosed rather than treated as normal.

Q: Will the breather filter prevent oil smell and residue?

A: It can help manage the outlet, but it cannot eliminate the vapor produced by the engine. Some installations may still produce noticeable odor or an oily film near the discharge area.

Q: Does this kit include a catch can?

A: No catch can is listed. The kit includes one breather filter, one 90-degree vent hose, one billet plug and four clamps.

Q: Can a CCV delete cause a check-engine light?

A: The product information notes that CCV-related codes may appear on some vehicles. Results vary by model year, calibration and other modifications, so confirm the requirements for your truck before installation.

Q: Will a CCV delete fix excessive blow-by?

A: No. It changes where crankcase vapor is routed but does not repair worn rings, cylinder damage or another mechanical cause of excessive blow-by.

Q: Does the kit require maintenance?

A: Inspect the breather filter, hose, intake plug and clamps periodically. Service or replace contaminated or damaged components as needed for your operating conditions.

Q: Is a 6.7 Cummins CCV delete legal for street use?

A: It may not be. Altering emissions-related equipment can violate federal, state or local requirements when a vehicle is operated on public roads. This product is intended only for lawful off-road or closed-course competition applications.

Disclaimer SPETUNER’s delete kits are intended for off-road or racing use only. They may not be street-legal in all areas, so please verify local laws before installation. Professional installation is strongly recommended to ensure the best results.
