Stop Blow-By. Protect Your Turbo. Simplify Maintenance.
Tired of oil residue clogging your intercooler and turbo inlet? The factory CCV system on the 6.6L L5P Duramax sends hot, oily vapors back into your intake, causing carbon buildup, airflow restriction, and long-term performance loss.
SPETUNER’s L5P CCV Reroute/Delete Kit fixes the problem by rerouting crankcase vapors through a high-flow external filter. Designed for reliability, this system enhances airflow, minimizes oil mist, and can be installed in under 2 hours using basic hand tools.

What is a L5P CCV Reroute?
TheCCV (Crankcase Ventilation) system routes blow-by gases back into the intake. On the L5P Duramax, this setup can lead to oil buildup in the turbo and intercooler. Over time, it causes carbon deposits, intake restriction, and reduced performance.
Why Delete or Reroute the CCV?
The stock crankcase ventilation system forces hot oil vapor back into your intake. Over time, this causes:
⚠️ Oil puddles in the intercooler
⚠️ Carbon buildup in intake valves
⚠️ Reduced turbo efficiency
⚠️ Sluggish throttle response
SPETUNER’s solution: A high-flow, external CCV filter system with full block-off capability—improving engine performance, reducing contamination, and simplifying service.

Frequently Asked Questions about the L5P CCV Delete Kit
Will this L5P CCV delete kit fit my Duramax truck?
This kit is compatible with all 2017–2024 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500/3500 HD trucks equipped with the 6.6L L5P Duramax engine. It is not compatible with Cab & Chassis models (3500/4500/5500).
4500, Will this kit trigger a check engine light or fault code?
The reroute kit typically does not cause codes. However, full deletes may trigger soft codes unless paired with a compatible tuner like EZ Lynk or Mini Maxx. We recommend tuning if you're removing the factory CCV entirely.
How hard is it to install the SPETUNER L5P CCV kit?
Most users complete installation in 1–2 hours using basic hand tools. The kit is designed for DIY installation and includes all necessary hardware.
Is tuning required to run this CCV reroute kit?
No tuning is required if you are rerouting only. However, full delete setups may benefit from tuning to suppress potential soft codes and maximize system performance.
Will this CCV delete help reduce oil in my intercooler?
Yes. By redirecting oily blow-by gases away from the intake system, this kit helps prevent oil accumulation in the turbo piping and intercooler, improving airflow and engine cleanliness.
Can this kit be used on a stock, emissions-compliant L5P?
Yes. The kit is emissions-conscious and works well with stock or lightly modified L5P setups. No emissions devices are tampered with during installation.
Is this kit compatible with my Mini Maxx or EZ Lynk tuner?
Yes, this CCV kit works independently of tuning software and is fully compatible with Mini Maxx (V1/V2), EZ Lynk, and other common diesel tuners.
Standard: What’s the difference between reroute and full delete?
A reroute redirects vapors through a filter to the atmosphere, while a full delete removes the entire factory CCV system. Both reduce oil buildup, but delete setups may require tuning for code suppression.
Does this kit include everything I need for installation?
Yes. The SPETUNER kit includes the filter, block-off plate, hose, clamps, and mounting hardware. You don’t need to reuse the OEM spacer, though it can be added for a tighter seal.
Will this upgrade void my factory warranty?
Any modification to emissions-related systems could impact your warranty. We suggest checking with your dealership before installing the kit, especially if your vehicle is still under factory coverage.
Everything looks great, just waiting for the tune so I can install all the new equipment. We just need a better demo video on how to get the files needed to send in. Also need to get the 8 credits for the full HP tuner programmer I bought for my truck they are not showing up yet in the log file but I am sure that the spetuner will get it straightened out. So how will they do not sure, when you ask specific questions to the team they always send you premade answers and do not answer your questions specifically. That part is frustrating, but again I am sure there is a learning curve here and they are just getting started at this so I guess I have my expectations too high. But I and sure they will be ready to help soon.

Nicely made
Its a nice kit and would have gotten five stars had it not been for two things. First that cheap spring steel of a hose clamp they give you breaking. Secondly they dont include anything to cover the intake port on the intake horn when you remove the recirculation hose. Other then that kit took 45 min to install. I took the other end of the hose and hooked it up to a catch can. Worked out perfect.

Slick kit and the best bang for the buck out there
Everything you need and nothing you don't. The parts install really impressively smoothly.
Could definitely use better / ANY instructions, especially since youtube vids on deleting trucks have been taken down lately.
It took a day of searching and watching vids here and there to find out it is extremely important to go in a certain order:
1: install the tuner first
2: install a "smog equipment has been removed" tune even though the truck still has the equipment at the moment.
3: remove the dpf and egr bits
Money well spent. Install was simple. Do not misunderstand simple with easy. Although it was easy for me. Install of the MINI MAXX V2 was a bit different. The video provided on the site was not how my installation went. In fact it was very different. With that, it did go as expected. The tuner does have some what of a learning curve, not very much info out there now with all the bureaucratic garbage we, in the US, have to contend with. It is out there, just TOUGH to glein. The removal of that gargantuan nightmare of an exhaust filter was not for the faint of heart. It is heavy, and the connectors on all those sensors can be challenging. It will be worth the struggle. The removal of the Extra Grace Required part was the hardest part for me. Having had my exhaust and turbo out 2 times, one of the bolt heads got damaged in the last re-install. That took a huge amount of patience and correctly applied downward force and a special tool. FYI THE PYROS DO NOT READ CORRECTLY ON 2011 F350 IT WILL ONLY READ 1193°!
Then the block off bypass parts, easy install. Looks great and does everything I expected. As a plumber I was able to use some expansion couplings and cut the water tubes and did not use the supplied hose. Then back on the ground to install the exhaust pipe. That was a challenge. The hanger bracket wasn't quite on par and was bent a bit. Nothing like a torch and a quality set of Pittsburgh 3/4" box end wrenches. Got that squared away, lined everything out and the slip joint went in nicely. I only used one of the 3 bolt flange bolts because I saved 2 of the pressed in studs. The down pipe connector flange was a special kind of hurrah. Perseverance, busted knuckle, and lots of upward pressure, accomplished that.! Overall I like the kit, don't like it doesn't come with instructions, but if you're buying this kit I'm betting you're already a mechanic anyway. HUGE THANKS TO SPETUNER.
One more thing, FedEx delivered my 1st kit to 2 wrong addresses, SPETUNER made it right and sent out a new kit for my. That is worthy of my review!
