Description Fitment FAQ

2003-2007 6.0 Powerstroke Cat and Muffler Delete Overview

Wake up the true power, legendary whistle, and unrestricted exhaust flow of your 6.0 Powerstroke Super Duty. The 3.5" Cat & Muffler Delete Pipe is for 2003–2007 Ford F250, F350 trucks equipped with the 6.0L Powerstroke turbo diesel engine. Its two-piece, straight-through design retains the factory-style 3.5-inch exhaust diameter and connects between the compatible factory downpipe and rear exhaust section.

Removing the factory muffler creates a louder, deeper exhaust note and makes the signature 6.0L turbo whistle more noticeable. The final sound and cabin resonance vary by truck configuration, engine speed, and the remaining exhaust components.

Note: This is a high-flow race-only upgrade designed for off-road/competition use or states without emissions inspections. Tuner required before removing OE exhaust. Check compatible tuner: Mini Maxx V1 tuner.

Key Features

  • Maximum Exhaust Velocity & Flow: Eliminates the highly restrictive factory catalytic converter and muffler, creating a straight-through path for exhaust gases to escape instantly.
  • Aggressive, Pure 6.0L Powerstroke Whistle: Unleashes that signature, crisp turbine whistle and deep, throaty V8 rumble that every 6.0L owner craves—zero cabin drone at highway cruising speeds.
  • Drastically Lowers EGTs: Crucial for the longevity of the 6.0 Powerstroke platform; reducing backpressure allows heat to escape faster, protecting your turbo and head gaskets under heavy towing loads.
  • Quicker Turbo Spool-Up: Removing exhaust restrictions reduces turbo lag significantly, giving you instantaneous throttle response and better low-end torque.
  • Improves Fuel Economy (MPG): A more efficient, free-flowing engine breathes easier, allowing your truck to burn fuel more efficiently and boosting average miles per gallon.
  • Heavy-Duty Construction: Crafted from premium, rust-resistant mandrel-bent tubing designed to withstand harsh road debris, high vibration, and extreme exhaust heat.

What’s Included

  • 1 × CAT delete pipe
  • 1 × muffler delete pipe
  • 3 × exhaust clamps
  • 2 × Bolt and Nut
  • 2 × nuts

Why Buyers Choose Spetuner Kit

  • Complete two-section replacement: Includes separate pipes for both the CAT and muffler locations.
  • Factory-size connection: The 3.5-inch tubing is designed around the compatible original exhaust configuration.
  • More direct exhaust path: Straight-through tubing removes the internal restriction of the original CAT and muffler sections.
  • Aggressive 6.0L sound: Produces a louder exhaust note and more pronounced turbo whistle.
  • Installation hardware included: Pipes, clamps, bolts, and nuts are supplied together.

Check Before You Order

  • Confirm that the truck is a listed F-250 or F-350 pickup with the 6.0L Powerstroke diesel engine.
  • Measure the existing exhaust and verify a factory-style 3.5-inch configuration.
  • This kit is designed around the compatible factory downpipe. Fitment with MBRP or other aftermarket downpipes is not guaranteed.
  • Previously modified exhaust systems may require additional trimming, clamps, adapters, or fabrication.
  • A cat-and-muffler replacement setup is substantially louder than the factory exhaust and may create highway drone.

Installation Notes

  • Installation Time: Approximately 60–90 minutes.
  • Difficulty Level: Easy to Moderate (Basic hand tools and an exhaust pipe cutter/hanger tool required).
  • Direct Bolt-On: Replaces the mid-section of your OEM exhaust system while retaining your stock downpipe and tailpipe.

Professional installation is recommended. Loosely position both pipes and all clamps before final tightening, then check clearance around the frame, crossmembers, driveshaft, wiring, and brake lines. Corroded factory hardware or a previously modified exhaust may require cutting tools or additional shop equipment. Recheck pipe alignment and clamp tightness after the first complete heat cycle.
