A2: No. The LMM Duramax platform was factory-equipped with a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) and EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) system, but it did NOT come from the factory with a DEF / SCR fluid system (DEF was introduced on the 2011+ LML platform). This kit removes the physical DPF filter and EGR system.

A3: Yes, tuner support is mandatory. Removing the DPF filter and blocking or removing the EGR valve disconnects factory exhaust and pressure sensors.
