SPEtuner LML EGR DPF Delete Kit for 6.6 Duramax | 2011-2016 Chevy GMC

Maximize the performance, fuel efficiency, and long-term reliability of your 2011–2016 Chevy/GMC 2500HD/3500HD 6.6L LML Duramax with the SPEtuner EGR/DPF Delete Kit. This comprehensive bundle pairs a high-flow DPF delete exhaust system with a complete, heavy-duty EGR delete kit. By eliminating restrictive factory particulate filters and soot-clogged EGR components, this system drastically reduces exhaust backpressure, lowers EGTs, improves turbo spool-up, and prevents endless clogged regeneration cycles. The ultimate plug-and-play solution built for severe off-road and race performance.

Key Features

  • Total Emissions Assembly Eradication: Permanently bypass fragile DEF heaters, NOx sensors, active DPF "Regen" cycles, and EGR soot-dumping mechanisms that constantly risk leaving your truck stranded in reduced-power states.
  • Massive High-Flow Exhaust Velocity: Replaces restrictive downstream emissions equipment with a smooth, continuous high-flow path, dropping exhaust backpressure to near-zero and protecting your VGT turbocharger.
  • Drastically Drops EGTs (Exhaust Gas Temps): Eliminating the thermal cork of the DPF and catalytic components allows hot exhaust to evacuate instantly, preventing heat soak and safeguarding your pistons, head gaskets, and engine oil during heavy towing.
  • Instantaneous Turbo Spool-Up: Removing the EGR and exhaust bottlenecks lets your turbocharger spin up effortlessly, completely curing low-end lag and providing immediate, razor-sharp throttle response.
  • Maximized Fuel Economy (MPG): End the fuel-thirsty, active DPF regeneration cycles that waste raw diesel to "burn off" soot, yielding a dramatic, real-world improvement in your overall fuel mileage.
  • Pure Engine Longevity: Keeping abrasive soot and hot exhaust gases out of your intake manifold via the EGR delete ensures your intake valves, pistons, and fuel injectors stay surgically clean for hundreds of thousands of miles.

Specification

  • Material: T-409 Stainless Steel(it is magnetic)
  • Thickness: 2mm thick for long-lasting durability and heat resistance
  • Inlet Diameter: 4"/5"
  • Mandrel-bent Construction: Maximum flow efficiency, helping your diesel breathe easier

Package Include

  • 2011–2016 LML EGR delete kit

How to Choose Your DPF Exhaust Pipe

4" vs 5" Straight Pipe Comparison

For the LML 6.6L Duramax, 4-inch straight pipes give a sharp, raspy tone at low RPM—great for daily use with minimal drone. The 5-inch option delivers a deeper, smoother sound, less rasp, and better flow—ideal for high-power builds and towing. Here are some selection suggestions:

  • 4" Straight Pipe:  Ideal for stock or mildly modified trucks. Offers a sharp tone with minimal cabin drone, keeping the interior quiet during daily driving.
  • 5" Straight Pipe: Best for aggressive builds or those seeking a deeper, fuller exhaust note. Maximizes flow and performance, especially in high-output or towing applications.

Different Types of DPF Delete

DPF Race Delete

  • Only removes the DPF (keeps stock downpipe)
  • Minimal performance gain but cheapest option
  • Best for budget-focused or emissions-testing avoidance

Downpipe-Back Delete

  • Replaces exhaust from the turbo downpipe backward
  • Improves mid-range power and throttle response
  • Good for street builds keeping stock turbo

Turbo Back Delete

  • Full system replacement from turbo outlet
  • Includes high-flow downpipe for maximum efficiency
  • Reduces turbo lag and boosts top-end power
  • Top choice for tuned/high-performance engines

Dual Exit (5" only)

  • Splits into dual exhaust paths
  • Enhances cooling and flow for extreme applications
  • Used in heavy towing or competition setups

Muffler vs. No Muffler

With Muffler

  • Tames exhaust noise for daily driving
  • Slight power restriction (~5-10HP)
  • More likely to comply with local noise laws

Straight Pipe (No Muffler)

  • Loud, aggressive exhaust note
  • Unrestricted flow for max horsepower
  • Often illegal for street use (noise/emissions)
  • Reserved for off-road/race applications

---tab FAQ---

Q: Do I need a tuner with this LML EGR DPF delete kit?

A: Yes. A DPF-delete-capable ECM tune is required for a full EGR and DPF delete on the 2011–2016 6.6L Duramax LML. Without the correct calibration, the truck may retain check-engine lights, diagnostic trouble codes, DEF or exhaust-system warnings, and reduced-power or speed-limiting messages.

Q: Does this kit come with an EFI Live tuner or a delete tune?

A: No. This product does not include an EFI Live device, tuner, or custom delete tune. Your order includes the EGR-delete hardware and the DPF/exhaust configuration selected on the product page. Obtain compatible LML tuning separately and have it ready before installation.

Q: My truck already says “Service Exhaust Fluid System” or shows a speed-limit countdown. Can I install the parts first and tune it later?

A: No. Do not remove the emissions hardware and plan to drive the truck before applying the correct calibration. Have the compatible tuner and tune ready, then follow the tuning provider’s required sequence. Installing the hardware alone will not reprogram the ECM or guarantee that an existing warning or derate condition will clear.

Q: How do I know whether to order the 2011–2015 or 2015.5–2016 version?

A: The LML exhaust routing changed during the 2015 model year, so the two versions are not interchangeable. Check your truck’s production information or VIN before ordering. Choose 2011–2015 for the earlier configuration and 2015.5–2016 for the later configuration.

Q: Will this kit fit my Duramax Cab & Chassis truck?

A: No. This kit fits the listed 2011–2016 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500HD pickup applications with the 6.6L Duramax LML. It does not fit Cab & Chassis or pickup-box-delete models.

Q: Which exhaust option do I need if I only want to remove the DPF?

A: Choose the DPF Race option if you want to replace the DPF section while retaining the factory downpipe. Choose Downpipe-Back when you want to replace the exhaust behind the turbo downpipe. A Cat-Back system changes only the downstream exhaust and is not a DPF-delete pipe. Pipe diameter and muffler selection affect sound and exhaust configuration, but they do not eliminate the need for proper tuning.

Q: Can I install this LML EGR/DPF delete kit on a street-driven truck?

A: In the United States, emissions controls must not be removed or disabled on an EPA-certified motor vehicle used on public roads. An “off-road use only” label does not automatically make an installation legal. Purchase and use this product only when you have confirmed that the specific vehicle and application are legally permitted under all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
